Harvest Dinner 2011

On October 20, 2011, Bibles International held its annual Harvest Dinner. This year, we celebrated our 30th anniversary. Our speaker was Dr. Gary Anderson, president of Baptist Mid-Missions, our parent organization. For the past decade, I've served at the registration table before the dinner and helped to count the gifts after the dinner.

This year was historic in its size--we had 767 registered guests, although some were unable to come. We believe that we had approximately 750 guests who actually attended.

It's been a terrific blessing to serve with Bibles International for slightly more than a decade. During the time I've been with the organization, we've seen the Lord's hand of mercy as He has saved us from accidents, provided miles of safe travel both in the US and overseas, allowed us to complete 24 projects and work on at least 40 other Scriptures, and provided for our every need. We do have significant needs now, as we anticipate printing six Scriptures in the next four months. Please join us in praying for the Lord's provision. The cost of printing Scriptures is high, as is the cost of maintaining an office building. Pray that we will continue to rest in Him, even during this downturn in the economy.
