My Weekend Trip

I wanted to show you numerous pictures of my niece's wedding that took place this past Saturday. But I'm not sure this is the best way to do it. Again, I'm technologically challenged, and wish I knew better how to do this.

It was a blazing hot weekend that compared with my days in Africa. But the wedding was beautiful. I'm so thankful it wasn't outside or in a non-air conditioned building.

After the wedding, I went on to speak at University Heights Baptist Church on the western edge of Evansville, one of my supporting churches. (The wedding was on the east side of Evansville.) Other than an adventure I wouldn't want to repeat trying to find the church on Sunday morning, the meetings went well. I always enjoy sharing with people about my ministry at Bibles International.

Yesterday, what would normally have been an eight hour trip back turned into a much longer one because traffic was stopped on the road for a period of time but less than a hour, due to a vehicle-farm implement accident. A vehicle ran into the back of a corn planter. (That had to be the fault of the vehicle driver, since he/she should have been able to see the farm implement in his path for miles ahead because the road was very flat. Evidently s/he was simply not paying attention. I drove into my garage at 6:30 p.m. so thankful to have been able to make the trip, but also so happy to be home.

I may just add other pictures of the wedding if I figure out how to do that. Where are my technologically savvy nephews and nieces when I need them?

Those wedding flowers were just beautiful! The bride was striking. Rebekah looks so much like her mother!
