Finally!

Today I finally finished the sixth of at least 12 chapters of the history book, except for some information I'm awaiting from two individuals. I had to drop a segment of information into chapter three because one of my proofreaders noticed I'd forgotten something important, so that took a bit of editing. Now chapters one through three are with an outside editor. I finished corrections suggested by the second proofreader in chapter four, and sent that chapter on to the director for his comments. Chapter five is with my first proofreader. If this is as confusing to you as it is to me, I can understand. I have to make a list of which step I'm in with each chapter or I would certainly forget.

I've started, but just barely, chapter seven. I'm way behind schedule because of being sick with bronchitis and sinusitis for almost two weeks. Two weeks ago this evening I was in the ER. I'm thankful that except for an occasional cough, I'm back up to speed, I think.

Thank you to all who sent birthday cards and gifts. Yes, another birthday has rolled around. BI's director recently told us that we must each work until we're 80, so I still have several more years to go--in fact, more than a decade! Since I love what I'm doing (most of the time) and am so thankful to be involved in getting Scriptures into the hands of those who've never before had them, I want to work as long as the Lord gives me strength. Thank you to those of you who are helping to make this possible.

When he said you had to work until you were 80 ... was that serious?
Anyway, way to go! Sounds like you're making great progress!

No, he was not serious, but he does encourage us to work as long as we're physically and mentally capable. We have at least three people still working in there 70s, and several others are as old as I or older. I'd like to work until I'm 70, if the Lord gives me health to do so.
