Butterflies (and Other Things) are Blooming

Each spring in Grand Rapids, the Meijer Gardens brings thousands of chrysalises to Grand Rapids, allowing them to hatch into butterflies in their botanical gardens. Visiting there is a lovely experience, with butterflies flying everywhere one looks. I had not visited Meijer Gardens in years, so it was enjoyable to go on a recent Saturday morning. The flowers leading up to the entrance were also delightful.

Have I mentioned that the Zotung New Testament text has been approved and is ready to go to the printer? Praise the Lord with us for another New Testament that will soon be printed.

Text Editor Don Block is recovering from the surgery he recently had to relieve pressure from the bleeding on his brain. He still has two weeks of enforced inactivity. Anything that stimulates his brain causes a headache, so I believe he is not having difficulty accepting the inactivity. Please pray with us for a complete recovery from this unexpected event.

How is your Bradford Pear tree doing this year?

It looks nice with some blooms, but is not covered like some I've seen other places.

So pretty! At first I thought that was your yard!! I planted some of those hyacinths last fall and they're so pretty.

Hi Elaine! I think you have a wonderful blog here, and really like this piece about life coming into bloom! Really reminds me of my younger days when I had a veggie garden and got to see all sorts of interesting things happen in nature in my own backyard as my veggies came through the ground and became great meals!
