Yesterday evening was bittersweet as we at BI bid farewell to Bob and Deb Thompson, shown on the left in this photo. For 8 1/2 years they've been a part of the BI family. During the past few years, Bob's official title was Projects Manager.
Bob and Deb will finish their responsibilities at BI and move on to their next ministry at the end of June. Bob will become the executive director of Baptist Home Mission in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Imagine moving from Michigan to the banks of the Atlantic Ocean!
Pray for them as they go. And pray for us as they leave a huge hole to fill at BI. We will definitely miss Bob's servant's heart. It will be difficult to fill his position.
On a more positive note, we have a new administrative assistant who will be starting on Monday. That position has been vacant for some months. And, one of our team members is leaving early Sunday morning for India, where he plans to attend the dedication of the Inpui Naga New Testament. The work continues whether or not we are fully staffed.
